VERDE VALLEY HISPANIC BAPTIST MISSION (SBC)

Verde Valley Hispanic Baptist Mission (VVHBC) is under the sponsorship of Clarkdale Baptist Church, Clarkdale, AZ, and Robert Road Baptist Church, Prescott, Valley, AZ.  The Pastor of this mission work is Ramon C. Rodriguez, who, along with his wife Evelia and daughter Amy, was called to this mission work from Nacozari, Sonora, Mexico, in January, 2008.  Ramon was Pastor of Primera Iglesia Bautista de Nacozari for about seven years.  He is a graduate of the Baptist Theological Seminary (Seminario Bautista de Teologia) of Mexico City, D.F., Mexico, and has a heart for reaching Spanish-speaking people who live in the Verde Valley of Arizona with the Good News of Jesus Christ.  

Since coming to the Verde Valley, Ramon and Evelia have reached several entire families for Christ, and now have a congregation of about 30-35 Hispanic worshippers who meet in the facilities of Clarkdale Baptist Church, at 1051 Highway 89A, Clarkdale on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. and on Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m.  Other meetings are held in the Rodriguez residence at 2645 South Pipe Creek Drive, Cottonwood, Arizona, as well as at other private homes in the Verde Valley.  Six new converts have been bapized and several others have joined by changing their membership from other churches of like faith and practice.  Inasmuch as the VVHBM is still a mission work, and not a fully constituted church, Pastor Ramon, his wife Evelia, and all others who have joined by baptism or change of church membership are fullfledged members of Clarkdale Baptist Church as well as VVHBM.
